Kim Kardashian has been revealed as a surprise cast member on the upcoming 12th season of American Horror Story.
The 42-year-old reality TV star and businesswoman, who has an estimated worth of more than $1.2 billion (£965m), announced the news in a post on Instagram, which was captioned cryptically with eyeball and blood drop emojis.
Franchise regular Emma Roberts was also confirmed for the cast, with creator Ryan Murphy going on to announce that the season will be subtitled Delicate and will premiere this summer.
Further details of the theme of the season, or the characters, have yet to be revealed but according to Variety, Kardashian will play a "leading" role in a part that was specifically written for her by Murphy.
The show was already renewed for its 13th season - likely to air in early 2024 - more than three years ago.
