Amir Khan's wife Faryal Khan reportedly signs up to be a housemate on the new series of Celebrity Big Brother.

Amir Khan's wife Faryal Khan has reportedly signed up to appear on Celebrity Big Brother.

The couple have been married for 11 years and have three kids together - and their family life is documented in the BBC Three series Meet The Khans: Big In Bolton.

Rumours about their relationship were rife last summer after it was alleged that Amir had slept with another woman, but they are still together and now New York-born Faryal, 32, is said to have agreed to become a housemate on CBB.

"Faryal is a huge signing for Celebrity Big Brother," a source told The Sun.

"She's had her ups and downs with Amir but wants to step into the limelight in her own right. Faryal has said she wants to show she's not a doormat that he walks all over.

"She is fiery and feisty and will make a brilliant housemate."

The new series is expected to begin on ITV in early March.
