Celebrity Big Brother will reportedly be making a comeback in early 2024 after almost six years off the air.
The news of a potential revival comes amid the successful return of the main version, which is one week into its six-week run on ITV2.
According to Broadcast, ITV has now given the go-ahead to a new edition of the celebrity spinoff and will be promoting the show from ITV2 to ITV1.
Celebrity Big Brother first aired as a one-off special in aid of Comic Relief in 2001 but then became a returning format, with a total of 22 series airing on Channel 4 and Channel 5 until BB's axe in 2018.
An ITV spokesperson refused to comment on the speculation, saying: "At present we are focused on the current series of Big Brother and any announcements regarding future series will be made in due course."
The publication says that the new series is provisionally scheduled to air on ITV1 next Spring but no firm decision has yet been taken.
A second six-week series of the regular edition has already been confirmed to air on ITV2 next year.
