Classic Big Brother to return to Channel 4 with Davina McCall

Original Big Brother host Davina McCall will return to host a new retrospective series for Channel 4.

Channel 4 has commissioned a new series looking back at classic moments from Big Brother over the years.

The seminal reality show began life on Channel 4 in 2000 and was a cornerstone of its schedules for a decade before switching to Channel 5 in 2011.

The show has been absent from UK screens for two years after Channel 5 swung the axe in 2018, but according to The Sun, it will make a comeback on E4 in a new retrospective series this summer.

Big Brother: Best Shows Ever Show will feature highlights from the show's lengthy run, with original host Davina McCall returning to present alongside Big Brother's Bit On The Side host Rylan Clark-Neal.

"I lived and breathed Big Brother for 11 years," McCall told the newspaper. "Not one week goes by when I don't quote Big Brother in some form.

"It made me laugh, it made me cry and it taught me to never judge a book by its cover. I love the show and can't wait to share it with a whole new audience."

Clark-Neal added: "I'm so excited to be bringing Big Brother back to our lives. There will be laughs, tears and drama, but most of all we get to relive some of Big Brother's greatest episodes."

The pair are said to have filmed the show during lockdown from their respective homes.
