Hollywood hardman Mickey Rourke has reportedly joined the lineup for the new series of Celebrity Big Brother at the eleventh hour.
The 72-year-old actor and former boxer is known for his roles in films such as The Wrestler, Barfly and Get Carter, winning a BAFTA, a Golden Globe and an Oscars nomination along the way.
According to the Daily Mail, Rourke has agreed a late deal to enter the CBB house tomorrow alongside the likes of Trisha Goddard, Patsy Palmer, Jack P Shepherd, Chris Hughes and Sir Michael Fabricant.
A source said: "The last time he was really big was during The Wrestler, and he like everyone else needs to pay some bills.
"So doing the show is a no-brainer. He's a producers dream because he has loads of stories, is a loose cannon, he is considered a huge get.
"Producers always hope for the train-wreck but being a revelation works as well, if we see a new side of Mickey that could work.
"The worst-case scenario would be if he left early. When he did The Masked Singer [in the US] a few years ago, he eliminated himself."
Celebrity Big Brother launches on Monday, April 7 at 9pm on ITV1 and ITVX.
