4Music finally resumed its usual programming schedule yesterday, almost seven weeks on from an incident that took the channel off air.
A false fire alarm at playout company Red Bee Media on September 25 had serious implications for Channel 4's portfolio of channels and services, knocking a host of channels off air and rendering services and catch-up programming unavailable.
The severity of the issue was such that subtitles have only begun to reappear on programming in the last couple of weeks, while 4Music has been playing music videos only up until yesterday.
Prior to the incident 4Music had a diet of music videos and youth-skewing programming, the latter of which has now been reintroduced into the schedules.
A new 'supernatural stack' of shows - Sabrina The Teenage Witch, Charmed and Buffy, The Vampire Slayer - will play out weekdays from 4pm, while comedy The Goldbergs is new to the channel and will air daily at 8pm.
Other shows in the schedule include Taskmaster, 8 Out Of 10 Cats Does Countdown and Rick and Morty.
