Andrew Neil will reportedly not be returning to hosting duties on GB News next week as expected.
The veteran broadcaster helped launch the channel in mid-June and is the presenter of the flagship primetime programme, Andrew Neil, which airs at 8pm from Monday to Thursday.
Neil hosted just two weeks of his show before heading off on a summer break, however, and has yet to return to the airwaves despite promising viewers that he would be "back before the summer is out".
For the last 10 weeks, Andrew Neil has instead been hosted by Colin Brazier for the most part, with Alastair Stewart stepping in over the last week while Brazier took his own holiday.
According to The Times, Neil was expected back at the channel this coming Monday but he has now "delayed" his return as he works out his future with the fledgling broadcaster.
Neil serves as GB News chairman but is said to have been at odds with chief executive Angelos Frangopoulos over the direction of the channel, while he is also thought to be upset by the "shambolic" technical issues that marred the first few weeks on air.
Other reports have suggested that when Neil returns, he will not be presenting a daily primetime show and will instead host a different, less frequent programme on the channel.
