BritBox launches on Roku in the UK ahead of the premiere of Spitting Image series two.

BritBox has announced that it has launched on Roku streaming devices and Roku TV devices in the UK.

Existing subscribers need to add the BritBox channel to their service and log in using their usual details, while new subscribers can sign up through Roku Pay.

"We are thrilled to bring the best of British entertainment to Roku, which has been one of the most demanded platforms in customer feedback," said Tom Price, commercial director for BritBox in the UK.

"Our mission is to make it easy to enjoy BritBox across any device and we now cover all the major streaming devices and smart TV platforms.

"It's perfect timing with original and exclusive shows including the new series of Spitting Image launching in the next few months as well as our unrivalled collection of classic and contemporary British TV."

BritBox is also available through Apple TV, Amazon Fire TV, Chromecast and various Smart TVs, although the service has not yet concluded a potentially game-changing deal for distribution through Sky Q.

The news comes a fortnight ahead of the return of BritBox original Spitting Image for a second series.
