Budgets for the BBC's TV channels and radio stations revealed

A full breakdown of the content spends by all of the BBC's major TV channels and radio stations in 2021-22.

The BBC has published its annual report for the 2021-22 year, revealing the amounts spent on content by each of the major TV channels and radio stations.

After content spend dipped in 2020-21 due to the coronavirus pandemic, most services received an increased budget last year as the industry rebounded.

The figures follow in full below:

Television

BBC One: £1.212 billion, up from £924m

BBC Two: £327m, up from £261m

BBC Three: £22m up to March 31, 2022

BBC Four: £22m, down from £29m

CBBC channel: £68m, up from £58m

CBeebies: £30m, up from £25m

BBC News channel: £57m, down from £59m

BBC Parliament: £1m, down from £2m

BBC Scotland: £37m, up from £34m

BBC Alba: £9m, no change

Radio stations

BBC Radio 1: £36m, no change

BBC Radio 1Xtra: £9m, up from £8m

BBC Radio 2: £47m, no change

BBC Radio 3: £35m, up from £34m

BBC Radio 4: £85m, up from £83m

BBC Radio 4 Extra: £3m, no change

BBC Radio 5 Live: £50m, up from £44m

BBC Radio 5 Live Sports Extra: £3m, no change

BBC Radio 6 Music: £12m, no change

BBC Radio Asian Network: £7m, no change

BBC Radio Scotland: £24m, up from £23m

BBC Radio nan Gaidheal: £4m, no change
