CNN to exit Virgin Media, BT and Freesat next week
News station CNN is to exit Virgin Media, BT TV and Freesat on September 1, it is confirmed.

CNN International will leave Virgin Media, BT TV and Freesat next week, it has been confirmed.

The move comes as the news channel looks to instead push viewers towards its new subscription service CNN Live, which is available for £1.99 a month or £19.90 a year.

As a result CNN will exit Virgin, BT and Freesat on September 1, although it will continue to broadcast as usual via Sky for the foreseeable future.

In a statement, the Warner-owned channel said: "As of 1 September, CNN International will be available to UK viewers via a livestream at CNN.com as well as on Sky TV."

CNN Live can be accessed online at cnn.com/watchliveUK.
