Court TV to launch on Freeview

Court TV is to launch on Freeview next week ahead of the murder trial of George Floyd.

Court TV has announced that it will launch across the UK on Freeview next week.

The channel, which shows live coverage and analysis of US court proceedings, relaunched in the UK and Ireland on Sky last September, followed by a launch on Freesat in November.

Starting next Monday, February 15, Court TV will also become more widely available via Freeview on channel 89.

The move comes just before the murder trial of George Floyd, a black American man who was killed last May after a police officer kneeled on his neck for almost nine minutes.

Court TV plans to show proceedings in full, starting with jury selection on Monday, March 8.
