Emily Maitlis and Jon Sopel are both leaving the BBC to work together on a new podcast and radio show at Global.
The duo follow in the footsteps of Andrew Marr, who quit as host of the BBC's Sunday politics show for Global at the end of last year.
Maitlis had been with the BBC for 21 years, serving as lead presenter of Newsnight since 2018, a role that saw her conduct a now-infamous interview with Prince Andrew.
Sopel, meanwhile, has a BBC career stretching back to 1983 and had been the corporation's North America editor since 2014, covering a tumultuous time in US politics.
The pair have been presenting the Americast podcast together for the last few years and will now launch a new podcast at Global, in addition to hosting a show together on LBC.
"We are just so delighted to be launching this brand-new podcast – which will build on everything we've achieved with Americast over the last few years – and it will find new audiences and a new home with Global," said Maitlis.
"I couldn't be more excited."
Sopel added: "I'm delighted to be joining Global with my great friend and colleague, Emily Maitlis.
"We've been blown away by the reception for Americast and are so excited that Global has given us the opportunity to build on this success by creating this innovative news podcast. This is an unmissable opportunity."
The new podcast and radio show will launch later in the year.
