Colin Brazier and Alex Phillips have both been dropped by GB News as part of a major shakeup of the channel's daytime schedule.
Both presenters had been with the station since its launch 15 months ago - Brazier after a lengthy career at Sky News - but reportedly learned after presenting their shows on Wednesday that they had been axed with immediate effect.
The news comes just days after the broadcaster secured a further £60m of funding to enable it to invest in new on-screen talent and production facilities.
As part of the changes, Gloria De Piero will anchor a new lunchtime show with Mark Longhurst, with Liam Halligan's business show On The Money being dropped as he moves to a channel-wide role appearing on multiple programmes.
Patrick Christys will move to weekday afternoons, essentially taking over from Brazier, while Esther McVey and husband Philip Davies will host a new show on Fridays in addition to their Saturday morning show.
Later in the year the schedule will be tweaked further to include new programmes from Michael Portillo and Andrew Pierce.
