GB News announces plans for coverage of The Queen's funeral on Monday.

GB News has confirmed plans for its coverage of The Queen's funeral on Monday.

The monarch, who died on September 8 at the age of 96, will be laid to rest at Windsor Castle following a funeral ceremony at Westminster Abbey on Monday morning.

Hundreds of thousands of people are expected to line the streets of central London during the event, while hundreds of state leaders and dignitaries from around the world, including US President Joe Biden, will be present for the service.

GB News coverage will begin at 6am with an extended edition of Breakfast hosted by Eamonn Holmes and Isabel Webster, before veteran broadcasters Alastair Stewart and Anne Diamond take over with commentary of the funeral service.

Mark Longhurst and Gloria De Piero will anchor the afternoon coverage, with special programmes from Nigel Farage and Dan Wootton following on live from Buckingham Palace in the evening.

Stephen Dixon will be stationed in Windsor throughout the day, while Farage will be among the crowds in London earlier in the day and the channel's network of regional reporters will provide reaction from around the UK.

GB News has been broadcasting without advertising since news of The Queen's deteriorating health emerged on the afternoon of September 8.
