Premiership Rugby has announced a new three-season deal with ITV that will see live games broadcast on free-to-air terrestrial TV.
The arrangement, which begins immediately, will see the broadcaster simulcast four of BT Sport's games this season, plus the Premiership Final in June. ITV4 will also broadcast a weekly highlights show, which will get a repeat airing on ITV.
Next season and in 2023-24, ITV will be able to show six live games throughout the season in addition to the Final.
"We are delighted to announce this deal to bring regular free-to-air coverage of top-level club rugby to viewers across ITV's platforms," said Niall Sloane, ITV's director of sport.
"It has been a pleasure working with BT Sport and our partners at Premiership Rugby in agreeing this deal and we look forward to showcasing the action and the stories from this elite league over the coming years."
ITV's coverage kicks off on Sunday, January 30 with live coverage of league leaders Leicester Tigers' trip to Sale Sharks.
