ITV has reached a sub-licensing deal with Premier Sports to broadcast 10 games a season from La Liga for the next three years.
The arrangement - similar to a deal struck last year - is for matches involving either Barcelona, Real Madrid or Atletico Madrid and will allow ITV to broadcast the games free-to-air in the UK on either ITV or ITV4, as well as live through the ITV Hub, soon to be relaunched as ITVX.
The 10 selected games per year will also be broadcast on Premier Sports, which has the full set of La Liga and Segunda Division rights in the UK and Ireland.
"This deal ensures free to air coverage for all football fans of one of the most entertaining leagues in the world," said ITV's director of sport Niall Sloane.
"The deal with Premier Sports will give fans the chance to see some of the most iconic clubs and world-class players in action, live on ITV."
This season's first game under the deal will be Barcelona's trip to Real Sociedad on Sunday, August 21, with coverage getting underway at 8.30pm on ITV4.
