Pro-Kremlin news channel Russia Today has come off the air in the UK following Russia's invasion of Ukraine.
TV regulator Ofcom is currently conducting a review of the station's broadcast licence - specifically allegations that the channel has been peddling misinformation about the bloody conflict in line with Russian president Vladimir Putin's distorted narrative.
Ofcom has not yet removed RT's permission to broadcast in the UK, however the channel disappeared from Sky, Freeview and Freesat on Wednesday afternoon as a consequence of the European Union's decision to ban the channel.
Even though the UK is no longer a member of the EU, RT's UK feed was relayed by a French-owned satellite, meaning that the transmissions had to cease as part of the new rules.
It is unclear whether RT will attempt to get back on the air in the UK via another method, or if Russia will retaliate by blocking the BBC's transmissions in the country.
