Sky Sports will remain the home of US Open golf until 2025 after agreeing a new deal with the USGA.

Sky Sports has agreed a new deal keeping the US Open golf tournament with the broadcaster until at least 2025.

The agreement with the USGA covers the men's US Open, US Women's Open, men's and women's US Amateur Championships, the Curtis Cup match and the US Senior Open.

The deal means that Sky - via its dedicated golf channel - retains coverage of all four men's majors, five women's majors, the European Tour, the PGA Tour, the LPGA Tour and the Ladies' European Tour.

The news comes just a month ahead of this year's men's US Open in Los Angeles, with England's Matt Fitzpatrick the defending champion.

Sky has been steadily tying down its major sports rights over the last year, agreeing a long-term deal for Formula 1 until 2029 and a huge new deal for expanded coverage of the EFL.

Tennis is also returning to the broadcaster, starting with the US Open this year, with ATP and WTA rights being added next year.
