Sky Sports has confirmed that it has agreed a five-year deal to broadcast the US Open tennis Slam starting next year.
The news marks the return of the tournament to the broadcaster, which previously showed the US Open continuously between 1991 and 2015.
Eurosport then had the rights for the 2016 and 2017 editions, with Amazon's Prime Video service taking over thereafter.
As part of the agreement Sky will have access to live feeds from every court at Flushing Meadows, opening up the possibility for extensive multiscreen coverage across Sky's platforms.
"We are very excited to partner with the USTA once again to deliver the US Open, one of the greatest Grand Slam Tennis tournaments in the world," said Sky Sports MD Jonathan Licht.
"We have had a great history with the USTA and remember Andy Murray's 2012 US Open win as one of the great moments on Sky Sports.
"This is another huge sporting event for our viewers, and we look forward to bringing tennis fans more of what they love and welcoming in new fans to the sport."
The news follows speculation that Sky is poised to sign a major deal for rights to the ATP and WTA tours from 2024, a move that would result in the launch of a dedicated Sky Sports Tennis channel.
