Brooke Vincent has "no pressure" over Coronation Street return

A spokesperson for Coronation Street says that there is no set timeframe for Brooke Vincent to return to the soap as she prepares to give birth again.

Coronation Street has confirmed that there is no set timescale for Brooke Vincent to return to the soap.

The actress has played the part of Sophie Webster since 2004, when she was aged just 11, but exited in August 2019 to give birth to her first child, Mexx, with boyfriend Kean Bryan.

Earlier this month Vincent announced that she is now pregnant again and is due to give birth in the Spring, meaning that she may not return to the cobbles until next Summer at the earliest.

A spokesperson for the soap told The Sun: "There was never a fixed return date for Brooke, and there is no pressure for her to return within any particular time frame.

"The door has been left open for her at any point in the future, whenever that might be."

Helen Flanagan, who plays Vincent's on-screen older sister Rosie, has recently expressed a desire to make her own comeback to the show in the near future.
