Catherine Tyldesley has said that she would "absolutely" return to Coronation Street in the future.
The 37-year-old starred as Eva Price - half-sister of Leanne Battersby (Jane Danson) - on the soap from 2011 until 2018, when the character left to start a new life in France following the suicide of her ex Aidan (Shayne Ward).
Eva is still referenced on the show, most recently when Leanne contemplated moving to France to join her, and Tyldesley admitted that a Corrie return is possible during an appearance on Steph's Packed Lunch.
"I've been a fan since I was a little girl," she said.
"Of course, at some point... I'm really enjoying doing different projects and, touch wood, I'm really busy at the moment but Corrie is so close to my heart.
"If the opportunity came up in the future, absolutely."
Since leaving Corrie Tyldesley has appeared on Strictly Come Dancing and the BBC sitcom Scarborough.
