Corrie star Julia Goulding: 'Shona is more volatile than before'

Coronation Street actress Julia Goulding reveals that Shona will return to Weatherfield next week a changed woman.

Coronation Street actress Julia Goulding has revealed that Shona will be a very different character when she returns to the cobbles next week.

After suffering a brain injury in the aftermath of the Christmas shooting, Shona has been left with no memory of her time in Weatherfield - including her husband David (Jack P Shepherd).

Next week she returns to the street, however, as she looks for clues to help her remember the life she had before the shooting.

"With the nature of her brain injury, it has changed her personality somewhat so she is slightly more volatile than she was before," Goulding told the Daily Star.

"It will potentially come across as she's quite cold and mean to David, it isn't that she is being mean, it's that's where she goes to. She goes from one to 100 in seconds now, so the bouncy Shona that we used to know may not be as bouncy."

Coronation Street continues Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays on ITV.
