The Fast Show star Arabella Weir has filmed a guest role on Coronation Street.
The comedic actress will appear for a brief stint alongside The Royle Family's Phil Mealey, playing couple Yvette and Patrick - old neighbours of Aggie (Lorna Laidlaw) and Ed (Trevor Michael Georges) from when they were wealthier.
The light-hearted plot sees the two couples unexpectedly bump into each other, with Yvette and Patrick surprised by how different their lives now are.
"Getting Arabella is a real coup," a source told The Sun. "She's a real comedy legend and a fantastic actress to boot.
"Her scenes are hilarious and fans will be thrilled to see her on the cobbles."
Coronation Street continues Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 8pm on ITV1 and ITVX.
