Coronation Street stars Ruxandra Porojnicu and Charlotte Jordan are reportedly due to be offered new deals to remain on the soap.
Romanian actress Porojnicu, 27, has played Alina Pop on the show since 2019 and is currently involved in a storyline that has seen Alina fall for Tyrone (Alan Halsall), resulting in his long-term relationship with Fiz (Jennie McAlpine) coming to an end.
Jordan, meanwhile, joined Corrie last year as Daisy Midgeley - mischievous stepdaughter of Jenny (Sally Ann Matthews) - who has since set roots in Weatherfield and moved into the Rovers.
According to The Sun, the pair have now been offered longer-term deals, with a source telling the newspaper: "They've been told to expect contract extensions when the time comes.
"Ruxandra's character Alina Pop is currently involved in her second big storyline where she is having a fling with Tyrone Dobbs – and she is being lined up for plenty more.
"While Charlotte's character Daisy Midgeley has been on and off since she joined five months ago her blossoming popularity has led to her being put forward for more time on screen.
"Having fresh, young blood back on the street has been really exciting."
Coronation Street continues Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays on ITV.
