ITV is reportedly planning to bring back Joe-Warren Plant to Dancing On Ice following the show's mid-series break.
The Emmerdale actor became the fourth celebrity to pull out of this year's lineup last week after both he and his pro partner Vanessa Bauer tested positive for coronavirus.
As a result of the dropouts, ITV took the decision on Monday to suspend the show this weekend to give producers the chance to regroup.
According to The Sun, the break means that Plant and Bauer are likely to have overcome coronavirus in time to return to the lineup for the next live show.
The newspaper says that the decision, which will allow them to come back if they return a negative test in time, has "raised eyebrows among the cast" as Rufus Hound was also booted off the show after testing positive.
However Hound, as well as injury dropouts Denise van Outen and Billie Faiers, were all given a week's grace before being axed - and if Plant returns, the 18-year-old will have been afforded an equal number of shows off.
Dancing On Ice returns to ITV on Sunday, February 28.
