Watch: First trailer released for The Batman

Take a look at the first trailer for The Batman, a new reboot starring Robert Pattinson as the caped crusader.

Matt Reeves has unveiled the first trailer for his highly-anticipated reboot The Batman.

The film - due for release in October 2021 - will see Robert Pattinson take the reins as the caped crusader, kickstarting a new franchise which has already spawned a TV spinoff on HBO Max.

Filming on the new movie was halted by coronavirus in March, with writer and director Reeves estimating that only 25% of shooting has been completed, but nevertheless a trailer has been assembled to offer fans a glimpse of what to expect.

The clip was unveiled during Saturday's 'DC FanDome' event, which also offered new teasers for The Flash, Wonder Woman 1984 and the Snyder cut of Justice League, among others.
