Returning Doctor Who showrunner Russell T Davies is reportedly gearing up to launch a series of spinoff shows focused on villains such as the Sontarans, Daleks and Cybermen.
Earlier this month the BBC announced a partnership with Disney+ that has seen the streaming service gain the rights to the Whoniverse outside of the UK, in exchange for significant funds being provided to boost the programme's brand and budget.
Davies has previously spoken of his Marvel-style vision for Doctor Who and has form with spinoffs, having previously launched Torchwood and The Sarah Jane Adventures - and The Mirror says that more are now incoming.
A source told the newspaper: "Fans can expect to see Sontarans, Weeping Angels and Sea Devils in separate series showing what they get up to when the Doctor isn't there to stop them, along with Daleks and Cybermen."
Davies's second era at the helm of the show begins on screen in November 2023 with David Tennant appearing as The Doctor for three special episodes before Ncuti Gatwa takes over as the next Doctor at Christmas 2023.
