Further details about the Christmas special episode of Doctor Who have been revealed, alongside new pictures.
The episode - called 'The Church on Ruby Road' - will be the first full-length adventure for Ncuti Gatwa as The Doctor, with Millie Gibson being introduced as new companion Ruby Sunday.

Ruby's past is somewhat of a mystery as she was abandoned as a baby on Christmas Eve, but she is now living with her adoptive mother Carla (Michelle Greenidge) and grandmother Cherry (EastEnders star Angela Wynter).
Also appearing in the episode, written by showrunner Russell T Davies, are Davina McCall - playing herself - and Anita Dobson as the mysterious Mrs Flood.
"It is beyond an honour to be asked to appear in not only Doctor Who but also Ncuti's first episode as the new Doctor," said McCall, who previously voiced an android version of herself in Who's first series back in 2005.
"It was such an extraordinary experience and Russell has written you all a Christmas delight! Now I just can't wait for everyone to see it!"

Little else is known about the plot of the episode, although it will feature a goblin creature known as 'Gobins'.
"From Day One in this job, I wanted Doctor Who back on Christmas Day!" said Davies. "And with Ncuti, Millie, Davina and the Goblin King, I hope it's a feast for all the family!"
