George, Elaine and the girls arrive at his parents' house for Eddie's award celebration - and George is taken aback by the hero's welcome he receives from all of Eddie's friends, and even more so when Eddie makes a heartfelt speech about him. Later on, one of Eddie's friends, Gerald, lets slip to George that his dad is facing trial for a racially-motivated murder and wants George to be his character witness.

George and Gina have a heart to heart but he ends up excusing Eddie's behaviour, annoying her. Later, having looked into the court case online, George calls Eddie and tells him they need to talk.
