Angela Wynter is to reprise her role as fan favourite Yolande Trueman on EastEnders this summer, it has emerged.
First appearing in Walford in 2003 after a holiday romance with Patrick (Rudolph Walker), Yolande went on to become a key figure in the square, marrying her man and memorably getting into a fight with the legendary Pat (Pam St Clement) for having an affair with her husband.
Yolande left the Square - and Patrick - in 2008 when she got a promotion to Minute Mart HQ in Birmingham, but returned briefly in 2017 for a storyline involving Denise (Diane Parish).
Earlier this year Patrick took a break from Walford, telling his family that he was off to win Yolande back, and when he returns in next week's episodes it appears that Yolande will not be too far behind.
"I have been really looking forward to playing her again and have had a beautiful time on set so far," Wynter told The Sun.
"I can't thank the cast and crew enough for the warm welcome back."
EastEnders continues Mondays to Thursdays at 7.30pm on BBC One and from 6am on iPlayer.
