Heather Peace has revealed that her EastEnders character Eve will get into "an absolute rage" in tonight's episodes.
In last week's episodes she agreed to go on a date with a woman called Amanda (Bryony Afferson), who subsequently revealed that she is actually 'Caz', the woman who killed her twin sister in a drink-driving incident years ago.
The information that Caz had been drinking was new to Eve, and tonight she will be seen visiting the police looking for justice.
"Eve goes to the police station to try to reopen the case because the fact is that Caz was drunk when she was driving the car that killed her sister," explained Peace.
"That information was never available during the original court case because Caz did a runner [from the scene of the crime], and they found her the next day. So, Caz was done for leaving the scene of the accident, but there was no way of checking if she was over the limit.
"I think it changes everything for Eve because it's no longer an accident, and so that changes how Eve is going to deal with Caz going forward. It sends her into an absolute rage."
The police inform Eve that they will not consider reopening the case, however, arguing that Caz has served her time - but it leaves Eve less than pleased.
"That's when she decides to take matters into her own hands," Peace continued. "Again, it's because she's drinking and having no clarity of thought.
"She is absolutely off the rails, the most we have ever seen her. Borderline unhinged!"
EastEnders continues Mondays to Thursdays at 7.30pm on BBC One and from 6am on iPlayer.
