Zaraah Abrahams says that Chelsea will stick by Ravi after he is arrested in next week's EastEnders.

Chelsea will be "gutted" but supportive when her new love interest Ravi is arrested on EastEnders next week, according to Zaraah Abrahams.

In recent weeks, Ravi (Aaron Thiara) has manipulated his way into the life of Chelsea (Abrahams) in order to try to get information on the police investigation into his dodgy dealings, with the added bonus of getting one over on Chelsea's mum Denise (Diane Parish).

In next week's episodes, Ravi and Chelsea grow close during a deep and meaningful, but then a spur-of-the-moment incident leads to Ravi being taken away police.

"By the time Ravi has been arrested, they've had a few deep conversations and I think she's decided that she's willing to take a chance on him and so by this point she's just absolutely gutted when he gets arrested," explained Abrahams.

"She's seen the connection between Ravi and Nugget, she's seen that Ravi's really trying to do good for him and provide a life Nugget deserves and undo some of the terrible things he's done in the past to Nugget. She's gutted that this opportunity might be taken away from him."

The arrest comes after Stacey (Lacey Turner) warns Chelsea to tread carefully with her new beau, but Chelsea resolves to decide for herself if she can trust him.

"It definitely sparks her interest in him," continued Abrahams. "If everyone's is saying he is like this, she wants to know if it's true.

"Once she discovers there's a different side to him, she's happy to stick to that narrative. She's made her mind up then."

EastEnders continues Mondays to Thursdays at 7.30pm on BBC One and from 6am on iPlayer.
