Patrick (Rudolph Walker) and Yolande (Angela Wynter) will appear in a two-hander episode of EastEnders next week, it has been announced.
In recent weeks viewers have seen Yolande struggling to come to terms with being sexually assaulted by Pastor Clayton (Howard Saddler), a man she thought she could trust.
Yolande has kept her ordeal a secret from Patrick and instead has leaned on Elaine (Harriet Thorpe) as her sole confidante, but in upcoming scenes he will finally learn the truth.
Exec producer Chris Clenshaw said: "When you have a story that deserves time and space to explore, and you have talent like Angela Wynter and Rudoph Walker, it felt only right to produce an EastEnders two-hander episode.
"This conversation is the most difficult that Yolande and Patrick will ever have, and an episode dedicated to them gives us a chance to tell this story truthfully and authentically.
"I'm in awe of the performances Angela and Rudolph have given and they've handled such a challenging and sensitive subject matter."
The episode will air Tuesday, May 7 on BBC One and iPlayer.
