The BBC has announced that EastEnders will be released as weekly boxsets on iPlayer for three weeks this summer while the European Championships take place.
The delayed tournament, which features home nations England, Wales and Scotland, will cause disruption to the BBC and ITV's regular schedules as live coverage of games take centre stage.
As a result, the BBC has decided to make all four weekly episodes of EastEnders available on iPlayer every Monday for three weeks to give viewers ultimate flexibility over when to watch.
The soap will still be broadcast on BBC One during the Euros, although transmission patterns will vary depending on which games are being shown each weeknight.
Jon Sen, EastEnders executive producer, said: "Giving EastEnders viewers the ability to decide when they drop in on all things Albert Square is something we're excited about.
"With the inevitable scheduling changes due to the Euros, something we'll be celebrating in Walford on screen, box setting all four episodes will ensure everyone gets their dose of drama and football fans won't miss out.
"From indulging them all in one night, staggering across a few days or continuing to watch the episodes play out on BBC One, we hope the endless streaming options on BBC iPlayer keeps viewers content over the next few weeks."
The BBC has previously announced that former football manager Harry Redknapp will make a cameo appearance in an episode of EastEnders next month as the residents of Albert Square get into the Euros spirit.
The EastEnders weekly boxsets will be available on iPlayer from 6am on Monday, June 14, June 21 and June 28.
