Gurlaine Kaur Garcha has decided to leave her role as Ash Panesar on EastEnders after more than three years.
The 29-year-old has played the part of the Panesar sister, who works at the family's GP surgery, since August 2019.
News of her departure comes just months after that of Jaz Deol, who played her on-screen brother Kheerat.
"Gurlaine's loved her time on the show but she's ready to try new things," a source told The Sun.
"She's had an incredible three years on the soap and made some great friends.
"She'll film her final scenes in the coming months and in typical EastEnders style it will be unmissable."
A spokesperson for the soap confirmed: "We can confirm that Gurlaine will be leaving EastEnders, and we wish her all of the best for the future."
EastEnders continues Mondays to Thursdays at 7.30pm on BBC One.
