Jacqueline Jossa has confirmed that she will make a return to EastEnders in the future but has no current plans to do so.
The actress played Lauren Branning on the soap from 2010 until 2018, when her character departed Walford for a new life in New Zealand.
After leaving the soap, Jossa took part in - and won - ITV's I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! in 2019 and since then she has been continually linked with a return to E20.
"I'll obviously go back at some point," she told The Mirror. "But it would have to be the right storyline.
"As one of the biggest shows in the country, it would have to work for both them and me because they might not be ready for Lauren Branning, so it depends on timing."
She added: "I've never thought about it but it would be interesting to see where she's ended up."
Since Jossa left the show, so too has her on-screen dad Jake Wood, although Lauren's long-term love interest Peter Beale (Dayle Hudson) is now back as an established character in the square.
