June Brown 'could be tempted back to EastEnders'

John Altman says that his former EastEnders co-star June Brown "would be tempted" to return to the soap for the right storyline.

Former EastEnders actor John Altman has insisted that June Brown could be tempted back to the soap in the future.

Earlier this year Brown, 93, made the shock announcement that she had filmed her last scenes as Dot Cotton, despite producers believing that her exit would only be a temporary one.

At the time she insisted that she had "left for good" but Altman, who played her on-screen son 'Nasty' Nick Cotton for 30 years, thinks that the right storyline could change her mind.

"If they offered her a really good storyline she would be tempted. I think that would be the key," Altman told The Mirror.

"But she's getting on, bless her, and being 93 she does get tired easily."

Brown was one of EastEnders' longest-serving stars at the time of her retirement, having appeared in the show since 1985.
