Kellie Bright has suggested that the upcoming exit of her on-screen husband Danny Dyer from EastEnders will be an "explosive" one.
Dyer's character Mick will be leaving Walford this Christmas, exactly nine years since his arrival with then-wife Linda (Bright) as the new owners of The Vic.
Nearly a decade on, Mick is divorced from Linda and engaged to Janine (Charlie Brooks), but in the coming weeks he will start to doubt his new relationship.
Recent paparazzi pictures - which could be Mick's finale - depict a dramatic clifftop scene involving all three characters, although execs still remain tight-lipped over whether Mick will be killed off or the door will be left open for a future return.
Asked to describe Mick's departure, Bright told The Mirror last week: "Explosive. I actually think the Christmas episodes are really strong, we've got a fantastic team.
"I really do think they've pulled out all the stops and obviously for me - personally - it's Danny's exit from the show and I want to make it brilliant for that, because of him.
"So I feel like everyone involved in it has pulled out all the stops, poured their heart and soul into it. I think it's got a bit of everything.
"Obviously we're not the only ones in those episodes so I think it does what you want a Christmas episode of EastEnders to do.
"It's got kind of everything in there and then going through the week as well... I actually really love Boxing Day as an episode as well."
Other storylines playing out over the festive period include the funeral of Dot (June Brown) and the departure of her granddaughter Dotty (Milly Zero), the declining health of terminally-diagnosed Lola (Danielle Harold) and the burgeoning relationship between Whitney (Shona McGarty) and Zack (James Farrar).
