Ross Kemp has revealed that he is open to returning to EastEnders as Grant Mitchell in the near future.
The actor was a staple of the soap in the 1990s, bowing out in 1999, and has since returned for two brief stints - most recently in 2016 for the death of Grant's mother Peggy Mitchell (Barbara Windsor).
Kemp is now best known as a host of hard-hitting documentaries but speaking to Entertainment Daily he admitted that it is "down to the BBC" to invite him back.
"I don't think you ever rule it out, but that would be down to the BBC, that's not down to me," he told the publication.
"I would never say to going back to anything. I've always enjoyed acting and if any acting role came along, I would take it if I thought it was something that I thought I would enjoy."
Kemp will next be seen hosting ITV's The Millennium Dome Heist, a documentary about an attempt to steal £350 million worth of diamonds from The Millennium Dome in 2000.
