EastEnders legend Rudolph Walker has ruled out leaving the soap any time soon, insisting that he is not ready for retirement.
The 83-year-old is one of the soap's longest-serving characters, having appeared as Patrick Trueman for the last 21 years, and last year was awarded a CBE for his services to drama and charity.
Speaking about the future at the Pride of Britain awards, he told Metro: "Retiring? What's that?! No, I enjoy it, I enjoy being there, I enjoy working."
He added: "I'm sure there are going to be storylines that are going to come up, having been here for a number of years. I'm sure there are exciting things in the pipeline.
"Of course, I can't reveal if there's anything coming up!"
