Ruhtxjiaih Bellenea is to leave EastEnders after a year playing Mila Marwa.

Ruhtxjiaih Bellenea has quit her role on EastEnders after a year playing Mila Marwa.

The character first appeared in December 2020 when she got a job working behind the bar at The Albert and was central to a major storyline in 2021 that saw her save her younger sister Kioni from female genital mutilation (FGM).

Mila's girlfriend Iqra left the Square recently and now Mila will be following suit, according to The Sun.

A source told the newspaper: "Ruhtxjiaih was brought into the soap last year to be part of a very important FGM storyline.

"Her character's time has run its course so it's time for her to move on.

"There has been a lot of change on the soap recently and other stars are getting concerned they could be part of the next shake-up."

Bellenea's final scenes are expected to air in the next few weeks.
