Emmerdale star Daisy Campbell has revealed that Mark Jordon will be reprising his role as Daz Spencer for her character Amelia's upcoming exit from the soap.
The 21-year-old actress has played the part for the last 13 years but was informed months ago that she would be written out following on from the previous departure of Amelia's uncle / de-facto father Dan (Liam Fox).
To facilitate her own departure producers decided to bring back Jordon, who played Amelia's biological father Daz in 2014 and then again from 2017 to 2019.
In an interview with The Sun, Campbell revealed: "I end up going to live back with Daz in Leicester.
"Yeah, because we had a scene where I'd say, 'I'm off to move to Leicester with Esther' and I end up moving back with Daz which is nice. He comes back for one episode, which is lovely."
Discussing her axe, she continued: "It's mixed emotions really I think. It's been such a tough year, and I've had to deal with so much, but I was so at peace when leaving because I've grieved through it.
"Because I'm not only grieving for myself, it's a character that I've always played, this is my first ever job from being seven, so it felt really sad.
"But then it was nice to close the door and be at peace, because I've just allowed it to play out as it has this year.
"It's really upsetting, because it's all I've ever known, but I mean new things and maybe new parts next year. Who knows? But yeah, it's been sad. It's been really sad."
Amelia's departure is due to play out in the episode airing on Friday, December 20.
