Emmerdale has announced the casting of Shebz Miah as the village's new bad boy, Kammy.
The character makes his debut when he attempts to steal a quad bike belonging to Moira (Natalie J Robb) and encounters Sarah (Katie Hill) as he struggles to get it started.
Sarah is soon drawn in to Kammy's influence and "goes back to her roots by adopting the characteristics and behaviours of a true Dingle".
"I'm absolutely thrilled to be joining the cast of Emmerdale. Everyone has been so welcoming and I already feel like a part of the family," said Miah, who has previously appeared on Casualty and Doctors.
"I honestly couldn't have asked for a better job - the character is such an exciting one to play and Kammy will definitely ruffle a few feathers, but he does have the gift of the gab so although he causes a lot of mischief, I think it will be hard not to like him!"
Hill said: "I can't wait for the audience to meet Kammy - he's a really fun character and a great addition to the village. We might even see him and Sarah get up to a bit of mischief together. It has been great having Shebz join the cast and he's been brilliant to work with!"
The soap's producer Laura Shaw said: "We are delighted to be welcoming Shebz to Emmerdale as cheeky charmer Kammy. Charismatic, with a very playful spirit, but ultimately kind at heart, Yorkshire lad Kammy promises to bring both excitement and danger to the village."
Kammy will appear on screen for the first time later this month.
