Fiona Wade will reportedly exit her role as Priya on Emmerdale in the coming months.

Fiona Wade will reportedly leave her role as Priya Sharma on Emmerdale in the coming months.

The 43-year-old has been part of the Dales since 2011, taking over the role from Effie Woods, who originally played Priya from 2009 to 2010.

According to The Sun, Wade has now decided to leave the soap in order to "pursue other acting roles".

The newspaper says that she is due to film her exit scenes in the next few months, meaning that she is likely to bow out on screen around Christmas or New Year time.

News of Wade's impending departure follows those of Sally Dexter (Faith), Isobel Steele (Liv) and Katherine Dow Blyton (Harriet), all of whom have left over the last fortnight.
