Theodor Andrei will travel to Liverpool to represent Romania at this year's Eurovision Song Contest.

Theodor Andrei has been chosen to represent Romania at this year's Eurovision Song Contest in Liverpool.

The 18-year-old beat 11 other contenders in the national selection final on Saturday night with his song 'D.G.T. (Off and On)'.

The teenager's performance ended with him taking off his shirt to reveal the message "Make Love Not War".

Afterwards, he wrote on Instagram: "Thank you from the bottom of my heart! Every vote, every message, every comment, every good thought! It means a lot!

"What has been so far is just the beginning! Anul asta Eurovisionul e Rock'N'Roll!"

Romania will take to the stage in the second semi-final on May 11.
