Will Ferrell's Eurovision movie delayed by coronavirus

Will Ferrell's new Netflix movie based on the Eurovision Song Contest is delayed due to coronavirus.

Will Ferrell's upcoming movie Eurovision has had its release date pushed back due to the coronavirus outbreak.

The fictional film stars Ferrell and Rachel McAdams as a duo hoping to represent Iceland at the iconic song contest, which has been cancelled this year because of the disease.

The movie was due for release on Netflix this month to coincide with the real-life Eurovision but has now been postponed to an unknown date, even though filming is thought to have already been completed in the UK and Iceland.

One possibility is that Netflix are now holding back Eurovision, which also stars Pierce Brosnan and Demi Lovato, until the real contest goes ahead again next May.

Ironically Iceland were among the favourites to triumph this year for the first time in the competition's 64-year history.
