Boy meets girl, girl meets boy. Oh, and boy is an alien.
Romance and sci-fi collide in The CW's upcoming drama Star-Crossed, which follows what happens when a spaceship crashes in a small town and its passengers - conveniently, eight teen aliens - try to integrate seamlessly into the local community. It's basically cult favourite Roswell reimagined for a new generation.
Today's panel includes a full screening of the pilot plus a Q&A with the cast, which includes Aimee Teegarden (Scream 4 and 90210 fave Matt Lanter.
Please note that all times in this live blog are Pacific, which is eight hours behind the UK and three hours behind the East Coast.
It's straight on to the next panel now, Star-Crossed! We're currently running around 15 minutes behind schedule but I'm sure we can make up the time by shortening the Beauty and the Beast panel later on.
Except to say that it's a big red flag that a show isn't on the right course when they have Matt 'DudeTube' Lanter on the cast and don't even bother to get him shirtless.
Anyway the panel are due to come out shortly. In addition to Lanter we have Aimee 'I'm still a teenager, honest' Teegarden and and Grey Damon plus a bevy of exec producers: Adele Lim, Meredith Averill, Josh Appelbaum, Andre Nemec and Scott Rosenberg.
Lanter: "We don't know a lot, but I think we can expect a lot of awesomeness. Given [the execs'] track record we're in for some elevated storytelling."
Appelbaum: "We want to be highlighting what it is like to immigrate these students into the school, the social side, but also there's a lot of sci-fi. We have a big spaceship sitting there. Also one day we might visit their planet, who knows?"
Why this show? Lanter: "90210 was a teen soap, this is.. we have those elements, but what's bigger than that is the social issues and of course the sci-fi. It's fun for me as a fan to be in that world. I welcomed a darker, sci-fi fun aspect as opposed to the soapy stuff."
Any teasers? Lanter: "Personally watching the show there's so much I want to know about the Atrians, their background, a wealth of culture on another planet." Appelbaum: "We move fast in a good way, we give answers quickly. Episodes two, three, four are a fast pace. Mysteries are solved and then new ones are asked."
