Former Gogglebox star Sandra Martin has revealed that her sister-in-law has died after contracting coronavirus.

Most of the UK is now in lockdown due to the spread of the disease, with 11,600 confirmed cases including Prime Minister Boris Johnson, health secretary Matt Hancock and the heir to the throne Prince Charles.

Last week Sandra, who appeared on the Channel 4 show until 2017, shared the news that her brother's wife and her daughter were both critical in hospital after testing positive for COVID-19.

In a new post this morning, she wrote: "Am crying. My brother's wife just died of coronavirus. RIP my sister-in-law."
