Colonel Tom Moore's "weapon" grandson distracts GMB viewers

Colonel Tom Moore's grandson Max goes viral after an appearance on Good Morning Britain.

Colonel Tom Moore's grandson Max went viral today after appearing on Good Morning Britain to mark the war veteran's 100th birthday.

Moore has now raised more than £31 million for the NHS by walking laps of his back garden and has been duly rewarded with a promotion from Captain to Colonel by the Army.

GMB has closely followed Moore's story over the last few weeks and today broadcast an interview with his 20-year-old grandson Max, prompting a series of thirsty tweets from viewers.

One wrote: "side note, captain Tom Moore's grandson Max is a weapon. good morning to you too!"

Moore earlier received special birthday greetings from The Queen and Prime Minister Boris Johnson.
