Meet The Great British Bake Off 2024 contestant Illiyin Morrison, including her age, hometown, occupation and a Q&A.

Illiyin Morrison

Age: 31

Hometown: Norfolk

Occupation: Birth trauma specialist midwife

Baking strengths and weaknesses: "My strengths are definitely flavour and my weaknesses are finesse! I always rush and so often don't have time to neatly finish in the way I want to."

What would be your favourite type of Showstopper to bake?: "Oooo I would make a dessert selection with meringue at the centre, so Eton Mess, pavlova, different meringue shapes and styles with all the toppings."

How did it feel entering the famous tent for the first time?: "Totally surreal! I couldn't believe I was actually there, I still can't. Having my own workbench in the famous white tent will forever be one of my favourite memories."

The Great British Bake Off airs Tuesdays at 8pm on Channel 4.
